The Chanshal pass also known as Chanshal valley is a high altitude pass in Shimla District of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at height of 3,750 metres (12,300 ft). The Roads open from May till October and is covered with snow for the rest of the year the Chanshal Pass is a link (75Km) which connects Rohru and Dodra Kwar and it’s about 155kms from Shimla. Chanshal pass offers a fascinating view From the top of the valley around. Even the drive to the Chanshal top is quite scenic and a trip here is highly recommended for anyone with interest in travel, off-road or photography.
The Chanshal Valley affords scenic views of the Himalayas covered with snow. The valley is one of the best places for bike riders here roads are steep and tough to drive. The Valley is very peaceful and famous for its scenic beauty. Trekking to the top of hills is fairly exertion, Hills are covered with snow even in the month of June. You can park your vehicles on the road and trek to the top of hill. Saru tal (lake) is located on the top of one the hills resembling a Thalli. All hills are connected to each other and are easily accessible on foot.
